A five-alarm brush fire, known as the Keller Fire, broke out in Oakland, California, on Friday, prompting evacuation orders and damaging two homes. The Oakland Fire Department reported that crews were "working aggressively to fully extinguish" the blaze in the Oakland Hills.

The fire started on Friday afternoon at a home on Mountain Avenue, with winds spreading the flames into a grove of Eucalyptus trees. The fire has since grown to 15 acres, according to NBC Bay Area. As of Saturday morning, it was 50% contained, per the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire).
