The Buffalo Bills have completed a trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper, the team announced on Tuesday.

In exchange for Cooper and a 2025 sixth-round pick, Buffalo will send a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Browns.

Originally the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Cooper has accumulated over 9,700 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns throughout his career. The former Alabama standout has posted six 1,000-yard seasons, including back-to-back campaigns in 2022 and 2023 while with Cleveland.

Cooper earned his fifth Pro Bowl selection in 2023 after recording a career-high 1,250 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen gains another weapon for his receiving corps, as the trade for Amari Cooper comes less than 24 hours after Buffalo (4-2) secured a 23-20 victory over the Jets in Week 6. So far this season, Allen has thrown for 1,160 yards and 10 touchdowns through six games.

This trade marks the second midseason move in Cooper's career. Back in 2019, he was traded from the Raiders to the Cowboys on October 22. After joining Dallas, Cooper made an immediate impact, racking up 674 receiving yards over seven regular-season games, averaging 96.3 yards per game.

The connection between Amari Cooper and the Bills goes beyond the recent trade, as Buffalo wide receivers coach Adam Henry previously worked with Cooper in Dallas during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. During that time, Cooper led the Cowboys in receiving yards in 2020 with 1,114 yards and was second on the team in 2021 with 865 yards. He was traded to the Browns on March 16, 2022.

In his first season with Cleveland, Cooper made an immediate impact, leading the team with 1,160 receiving yards, 78 receptions, and a career-high nine touchdown catches. He continued to excel in 2023, setting a new career high with 1,250 receiving yards. That season included a standout 265-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Texans on December 24.
